DRY, WARM SPRING EXPECTED IN MUCH OF EUROPE IN MARCH - MAY

A dry spring with above normal temperatures is expected in most parts of Europe from March to May this year with the northern and eastern parts of Europe are expected to experience this weather the most, the Weather Service International (WSI) said on Monday.
The forecasts by the WSI are aimed at the energy and commodity sectors.

"While early February has been characterized by colder-than-normal temperatures across Western Europe, a sustained cold pattern just has not been able to take hold this winter, for a second year in a row," said Todd Crawford in a statement that was released to the media.

Todd Crawford is a meteorologist working at the Weather Service International (WSI).
"This unusually stable pattern is expected to persist into spring, as mild Atlantic high pressure dominates the weather with mild and dry conditions across most areas."

In an event that the spring is dry as its being suggested by the weather’s forecast models, then this indicates that the odds of a hotter summer in some areas will increase, he said.
