Keeping our planet safe from different negative impacts is very crucial, but still it seems like majority of people are not interested enough to do anything about it.
Luckily there are some people who think that it is time for everyone to do something about it, and it is good when someone influential is interested in it.
The Vatican’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin said that he is hoping that Pope Francis’ encyclical will have an impact on the three majoring gatherings that will happen this year.
He said that he is hoping that the words of Pope Francis will force them to find a solution when it comes to our environment and that they will actually do something about that, and not just talk.
The Cardinal said that they’ve discussed a lot about the climate change and they think that they are done with talking, because something needs to be done.
He said that Pope wants from all of us to change our lifestyles and to do everything we can to preserve our planet and environment.
Cardinal Parolin also said how Laudato Si’ is important for the Church and for the world in general, especially for major and important political events and how it will also have a major impact on our future.
The Cardinal added that our earth and the climate are everyone’s responsibility and that’s why he thinks that every human being should do something about that, before it is too late.
He said that the Church didn’t intervene because she wanted do replace scientists or politics, but to simply raise awareness and explain to people the importance of our environment and our planet.
