Wimbledon is set to have lots of strawberries thanks to the fact that strawberry farmers are reporting that they will be having a bumper harvest. Many farmers have attributed the increase in strawberries come harvest season to the new technology that they have introduced as well as the perfect climate that they have been blessed with. Unlike other parts of Britain, the strawberry farmers have witnessed a climate that has even gone past their expectation. They have been able to get lots f sunshine through winter and as a result their harvest has been boosted by at least a fifth. Strawberry farming tend to thrive in climate where days are warm them followed by nights that are cool and that is exactly what those sides of Britain have managed to get.
According to Sara Neaves, one of the many strawberry farmers who are reaping their benefits, this season we are very busy picking up strawberries that are without a doubt the best tasting sherries that you can get all over the world. She went on further and stated that, “the strawberries we are harvesting is by far the most that I have ever harvested in my 12 years as a strawberry farmer.”
Britain, especially areas where strawberries are harvested, has been receiving great weather. That said things are not looking pretty in the coming days. Towards the end of this week, Britain is expected to have windy and wet weather because of the remount of what is commonly known as the tropical depression.
